Picked up this at a local boot sale, came from a College (that I used to go to)! everything had to go as the place was being demolished.
Gave it the once over, Servisol in switches as they were a bit sluggish, - last tested 2013.
Powered up through a lamp limiter it warmed up quickly with no strange smells, noises or bangs!
With the lamp switched out it gave a lovely sine wave right throughout its range.
Only trouble I can't find out much about it, capacitors date it to 1966.

Anyone used or have one of these?

I used to use the H1E version of this generator 5 days a week back in the early 70s. The H1e had no output stage or meter and a 50R BNC socket for the output connector.

Blowed if I could find that! Free anyway!
Do I understand that the 5 ohm output could drive a speaker then?

Alan, from what I remember the ones that had the 5R output could drive a loudspeaker.

In place of the meter on the H1E there was a sine square switch. The quality of the square wave was ok by the standards of the day but.

When I powered up with the lamp in circuit there was quite an assymmetric wave form, but giving it full mains, it came good
Whatever happened to the search is OK by me as it seems quite a comprehensive manual!
