Farnell DC 24-10

Post by Niall » Wed Sep 09, 2015 4:15 pm

I recently acquired a pair of Farnell DC 24-10 power supplies, looking for any information particularly on the tolerance of the 50 volt input.

Thinking of powering them from a full wave rectifier fed by a site transformer as these are readily available but wondering if rectified 55-0-55 volts will be too much.

I would think so- unless do a choke input filter circuit.

I would guess that these were intended to work from telecoms supplies- nominally a 48V PbSO4 on float charge.
