Rigol = £300, didn't realise new DSO's were that cheap Mark. So yes, an old Tek DSO doesn't make sense. I'm happy with my old analogue Tek's and as I don't work on anything over 20khz at the moment I won't be rushing out to buy a new DSO. It is easy to be smitten with the pretty colours and other function's a DSO has, like displaying the frequency, cursor's to make measuring easier etc. Still I'm slowly dipping a toe into digital circuits and higher frequency stuff so i'll look at getting one, one day. By then they'll probably be going for £50. : ).
