Octal Bases in 2016...

Post by Jamie » Thu Apr 07, 2016 7:56 pm

Here's something interesting I spotted today at work, Two failed relays with an Octal base! Must have come off one of the rides...

Any ideas? Made by a strange company in Romania rated 10A 240V.
Just thought i'd grab a picture as I thought octal bases were more than obsolete!

Hi Jamie, still plenty of those relays and their bases about, even DIN rail versions.
You are showing the 11 pin 3P c/o type relays. Octal types are 8 pin and 2 p c/o.
The typical 10A rating of these relays goes well with the beefier contacts on this type of base.
