You can pick more than one.
Just for fun.  :D

I don't think I've missed any brands!?!?

You missed "other: Temperature controlled" and "other: Fixed"

I suspect my cheap temp controlled Iron of being a cheap fixed one on a lamp dimmer.

I have a Lidl solder gun (to weld plastic :) ). It's not hot enough to solder tinned chassis plates.

I've two dead Antex.

I have a Lidl paint stripper gun that works good to take off SM parts. :D

I've 2 or 3 small gas torches with soldering adaptors.

For serious Microwave work ;D a Camping Gaz blow torch.

Ive got a few different irons. a 15w antex which is the better of the low wattage ones i have. an instant heat weller one which i now have tips for again thanks to Trevor. and a maplin variable temperature one that i had to resolder some connections in because they had very little solder on them   . and a couple of cheap chinese irons that i bought on the offchance they were ok and surprisingly they are. cheers neil.

Well I have a Metcal and a couple of others, both Antex and one is temperature controlled.

Cheers,

Hmmmm.........I wasn't sure if I should have included an 'other' option; perhaps one of the Mods would be kind enough..............

My temperature controlled soldering 'station' came from CPC.
It's a model SL-20 made by 'Solomon' (whoever they are).
