The FDK now has 'modern' Sub Audio tones (CTCSS) for accessing repeaters, here it is just being tried in place, it's now got a thin plastic sheath for insulation, ribbon cable to an external DIP Switch array for changing the tone frequency..

Then I started on the MM Transverter.. Grr.

Is that a Sigtec board?

I have one which I wired to a couple of thumbwheel switches and cased up.
I intended to make it an external unit for FT290 / 790 but haven't got round to it as I don't use repeaters much these days and all the local ones still support toneburst anyway.

it's CSTech, but probably much the same..

Finding a good injection point was the trickiest part, I thought "dead easy, just put it where the Toneburst gets added" but nope. It was too low an impedance there and killed the tones output.
It had to go close to the Varicap section of the modulator!
