I've just returned from the above as I've been to collect a couple of eBay items from there, and was very kindly given a whistle-stop tour of the Museum as it features engines from two manufacturers once local to me: Blackstone's and Peter Brotherhood.
The museum is primarily devoted to internal combustion engines, but an increasing number of steam engines are featured. The museum is growing and developing, offering facilities to universities as well.
I was able to visit an old "friend" in the shape of the sectioned Napier "Deltic" engine, that used to be on display at the National Railway Museum.
The museum is not open at the moment, but is well worth a visit and a warm and friendly reception is guaranteed: it is set in wonderful scenery and I can recommend the minced beef pie at the Boar's Head up the road
