Hi all,

has anyone got a scan of an Ever Ready B131 battery pack? Or an equivalent?

I'm after building an HT battery for my Bush MB60 (later type).. This version of the radio uses 2xU2 (D cells) for its LT and B131 for HT.

That's brilliant guys..... :aad

Would I be right in thinking it will print on a single A4 sheet? On my 22" monitor, it looks about "real-life" size!

I'll get onto it as soon as I can, and post the results on the forum.

Yup, A4 is 297 * 210 and sheet size quoted is 282 * 182. Be OK as long as your printer doesn't want large margins.

If, by any chance, two margins exceed the 15mm limit, it should be possible to fiddle it as the likelihood on one margin exceeding 15mm is extremely unlikely - simple tell the print routine that you are using Foolscap (US = Legal) paper.

Just make sure that you don't tell it to centre the print on the paper!

If that should be the case, I may need to resurrect one of my Windows XP PCs, which will allow me to use my rather ancient HP Photosmart 3210 which can print "edge to edge".

I can use that printer with W11 because it won't accept the driver for that printer. :bbd

It might be worth Googling the problem to see if anybody has found a way round it.

We've got a Canon Lide 60 scanner which works fine with my W7 laptop but Canon don't provide a W8 driver, so it won't work with Helen's slightly newer machine.

With the move to W10 being imminent, it looked as if the elderly Xp machine upstairs would be the only way of using it but I came across a workaround for W8 recently which works with even older Canon scanners. I haven't tried it on Helen's machine yet but, if it works, it may also be applicable to W10 too.

Whether this will help you to get your PC to talk to your printer or not, I don't know, as Microsoft have announced that there will be no W11, which makes your machine somewhat unique, which means technical support will be rather thin on the ground!

Oi... Watch it Terrence! Arfur Daily can ennyfink you want.... :aak

My mistake, and I haven't leapfrogged ahead of the world... I meant W7. :zx: :ccg

In mitigation, if you were on the meds I'm taking right now, you'd also have W11, 3D laser cannons, Klingons at the door and a cat who sleeps by the lamp fitting - on the living room ceiling......

Oh, and if you have something in need of freeing off, you'd reaching for the can of W11-3D 40...... :cca
