Good God!

That looks just like "Skindles" in Goodramgate, York - about 1965, even down to the record player in the middle of the floor!

GEC 1000 dual standards if I am not mistaken? I have a 19" like the one with the round ticket on the screen. mine is 405 unconverted.
Must be early 1960's. Would that PAM set be secondhand? If not the new owner would soon find themselves behind the times with no hope of BBC2!

Edit: Not a PAM! I have had a look with my specs on now... Possibly a Thorn 850..? :ccg

The GEC or Sobell sets look like the ST196 which was available as convertible or fully dual standard.
The TV on the left side of the picture is a BRC model, possibly a Ferguson, note the system switch on the left side of the cabinet. I'd reckon 1963. The GEC 1000 came out in late 1964, improved version of the ST196.
The Ferguson was convertible model, 800 series and dual standard 850 series.

Reminds me of the old shop I worked in, early 60's.

A few Belling and Berry electric fires there too, and a 'proper' Hotpoint kettle!
