Teleton colour portable

Post by The_Teleman » Sun Aug 07, 2016 5:34 pm

Hi guys , can anyone remember a Teleton portable colour set from the early to mid 70's
It came in a white plastic case & was sold through Tesco at the time
We also had some at Telebank for rental purpose at the time when colour set where in demand
I recall in 73/74 I borrowed one from Telebank over the Christmas period for my grandparents who had never seen colour tv at that time .
I'm trying to find an example of this set & information on the same set
Unfortunately I can't remember the model number but the quality of the set always stuck in my mind for a rather low cost set .
I'm not even sure if it was a hybrid or not .

Hi Chris
It's not this one , it resembles the Philips / PYE KT3 in appearance
With a white plastic case
To this day I have never seen another

We had some back in the late 70s, possibly a bit large for portable and I can barely remember them but I think they were white, possibly all plastic cabinet, rotary tuner.. I'll try an ask around.

Then again, some days I'm lucky to remember my name. :bba

Hi Chris,
I googled "Teleton TV" and saw several various plastic portables from the 70's-80's......guess you have already done the same.
