Many years ago a vinyl LP was produced that had two independent, interleaved grooves on one side. Consequently, the tracks you heard on that side depended on where you happened to place the stylus.

Can't remember now who produced it - maybe a Stones album?

I bet my Technics SL-5 would not be able to play most of Jack White's release! It certainly can't track from the inside out!!

It doesn't do 78's either..

The only LP I can think of that did this was Monty Python. Can't remember the title now. Sold as a three-sided record....

The Python one is Matching Tie And Handkerchief.

It has two different sets of grooves on one side; plonk the needle down and you don't know which of them you're about to hear. :)
