This looks very interesting indeed.
It looks like a valve FET hybrid. It took a couple of attempts to get it on the NASA website but it is indeed there.

There was research published on this using Sapphire substrates to make nano-scale vacuum triode based ICs, radiation proof and able for high temperatures, cold cathode, no heater required.

They say very little about the material used in the articles.
We will most likely have to wait until they get closer to a production version before anything about it is released.
